| Description of project: | SBS Bardiya has sighed the project argument in 2019 with USAID PANI Project entitled “Sustainable economic growth throws freshwater biodiversity conservation in Lower Karnali River”. The project goal is to enhance sustainable economic growth throws freshwater biodiversity conservation in Karnali River, especially in Lower Karnali watershed. Project activities is focused on reducing threats to freshwater biodiversity especially in Lower Karnali River watershed, enhance sustainable capture fisheries, the prevalence of destructive fishing methods, and enhance sustainable economic growth through fishing and river based environment friendly enterprises. The project has targeted marginalized, poor communities, fisher community, and focus on the sustainability of capture fisheries, including the prevalence of destructive fishing methods. This project works is included working with rural municipalities in the respective watersheds. |

| Description of project | WASH in School Project is funded by GN Japan at Bardiya district of Nepal. Sonaha Bikash Samaj is the implementing partner of GNJP for the project. This project aims to provide WASH facilities and hygiene education which promote proper hygiene practice to targeted primary and secondary schools in Bardiya District, Nepal. The main activities of this project are construction and repair of drinking water supply facilities, construction of gender and MHM friendly toilets, establishment and strengthening of School WASH management committee, and providing Menstrual Hygiene Management education. Through these activities, this project aims at improving access to proper WASH and providing gender equality in education to school children at targeted schools. |
